The Client: Souci Horner Ltd, Chicago, USA.

The Brief: A master plan for a second home development of public areas and 70 houses. The concept of the development was based on the "New Urbanism" philosophy - to create a strong sense of identity reflecting the cultural and natural heritage of the surrounding area and creating an experience of community through the gathering of family, friends and neighbours.

Concept Design: We created a series of intentionally designed views and vistas that created a pathway of intrigue and discovery. Through intentional design, we brought the community together through the use of a common green space adjacent to the lake, enabling large views for each residence. Bicycle and pedestrian paths connect all areas. We provided spaces for family and for community, for rest, reflection, fun and adventure. We created a place where the community could engage with the pace of nature and celebrate life.
