The Client: Jivan Jyoti.

The Brief: Develop and improve a home for 75 boys age 6-17 in Udaipur, India. Involve the boys in the development of the site. Water conservation, energy generating technology, sustainable agricultural practices, self sufficient site where the children can grow and cultivate important food crops. Create a sports field, playground and shaded areas for relaxation.

Concept Design: We first solved the basic services such as sewage and water, an irrigation system for the vegetable plot and a tool shed. Fruit bearing and shade giving trees. Seating constructed of local materials. Locally sourced playground equipment. A dedicated area for the school bus and a visitor parking area. The project is currently being implemented.
