The Client: Elsi Ownsu Architects, Feilden + Mawson Architects LLP.

The Brief: A master planning proposal for a 200 hectare public park in Doha, based on four axes and with a central lake with a signature building at its centre. It had to encourage and ignite interest and understanding of nature, culture, sports, driving education and civil defence. Areas for more quiet contemplation and a Mosque. A destination for Qatari's of all ages and for visitors from all over the world.

Concept Design: The concept of the design proposal for the park was ambitious and comprehensive. The design looked to the future, but also to the past. It included a contoured landscape, a transit system, mosque, family areas, children's play areas, botanical garden, an amphitheatre, cycle paths, administrative buildings, ancillary services and parking.
